First Cav Museum, Fort Hood

Check this out!  Are you interested learning the historical background of First Cavalry Division? Are you curious about this museum?  There are too many things to learn inside the museum if only you could visit the site. Today,  we visited the First Cavalry museum. Unexpectedly, a group of young students visited the museum to learn some of the things they could be able to study. I grab few pictures in and outside the museum, and what interest me most is the Philippines historical World War II event that was posted inside the museum.

Lose Weight, Gain Weight

I recently posted on my Facebook wall this message, "Everytime I step on the weighing scale, I gain weight. So, desperate to lose weight". Memory recall, seven years ago I can still compete myself to some women who have a "sexy body proportion", but now I called myself  as "bodily disfigured", funny huh!, but true enough, my metabolism is so slow, and many more reasons why I gain weight, and not just a pound but more pounds in which gave me disappointment. Although disappointed,  I am hoping to lose weight as what my colleagues advice me, "don't lose hope".  I like the advise though!  Anyway,  I am still what I am and my family loves me the way I am, but for the sake of healthy living, I have to attain my goal to lose weight otherwise.....I will continue to have a back pain. So, while writing this blog, I will dedicate myself that each time I will edit this blog I will post a good news of my own personal weight lose.  Go...

Let us serve the Lord with Joy

On 24 August 2010,  before I leave the Sisters of Mary School premises, I had a chance to be with younger sisters (nuns) during their recreation time.  I played  basketball with them and snacked with them in the retreat house with 3rd batch, 1992  popcorn donation.  I feel one of them even in a short period of time,  being one of their older sisters and an alumnae of the school.  Message to our Dear Sisters in Christ. Dear Sisters, let us serve the Lord with Joy.  I am happy and blessed to be with all of you, I remember "one of you ask me what does Fr. Al look like in person", if not mistaken; I said just look at his picture and you see Fr. Al in person, same as before. It is true, whether  I saw Fr. Al in flesh and  some of you didn't, the spirit of Fr. Al are with us and will always be with us.  I love you all. God bless, Ate Rose Their smile is a sign of serving the Lord with Joy in their heart. ...

Sari-Sari on August 15, 2010

Overwhelmed! Yes, that was my feeling last Silver Anniversary of our dear Alma Mater, the Sisters of Mary School.  It was a success to gather more than 110 3rd batch boys and girls during the event.  Our proper gathering comes with lunch and election of offficers plus the seems to be never ending bonding.  I wish I could see them again with the same happy smile on their faces on the next 2012 grand reunion. I love you all guys. The pictures that was attached on my blog belongs to the 3rd batch picture owner.  It doesn't belong to me, thank you guys for these wonderful pictures posted on Facebook.

His First Pet

On 4th of July, he won this pet from our tour in acarnival while waiting for a 9:30 p.m fireworks.  It was a GOLD FISH (hmmm, not actually) , my son long wanting pet and now he have it.  My husband told me not to let the fish out from the water plastic , and not to feed the fish either with a regular food since we still don't have a FISH FOOD in particular.  He also told us not to transfer the fish into a bowl because it might jump and die. Hahahaha, and here it goes, after three days the FISH DIED from drowning...ehem ehem, not actually probably from starvation or I guess from out of OXYGEN (does the fish need oxygen).  Anyway, I don't know either. My son, upon knowing that the fish died...oh my goodness he cried, lamenting what happen to the fish.  Why the fish died?  Is he gonna die forever?  Crying like anything that I never seen before, and he wants it to live forever.  I, myself doesn't know how to stop him until his father comfort him...

The best of 4th of July Celebration

America...America....a land of freedom. Remember this 4th of July in America - a mark of INDEPENDENCE DAY. See how Americans celebrated 4th of July, a big smile and a joy from their heart...remembering how Americans from the past offered their lives to gain "FREEDOM" for its people. Here in the place we were now, there is a quote you can read " freedom is not free", but whatever your interpretation to this quote. I may say keep it in your heart and just feel the freedom within your mind, heart, and soul.

He loves The Sisters of Mary School

My son and I decided to save coins and put it in his coin bank.  He'd been to the Sisters of Mary School and he loves the children and the sisters their who accomodate us for two weeks of stay.  So, he decided to save coins to be donated to the Sisters of Mary School.  Then, since I am meeting the sisters soon.  I took a video of him.

Yummy for my Tummy

I've been thinking what would be my next blog, I feel I'm running out of ideas to write in my blog then I remembered what if I tried cooking blog.  I will cook and blog it just for experience since I've been watching You Tube cooking videos for sometime now.  I'm not a good cook and I seldom cook in the house either so in order for me to cook food for my family I always use You Tube as my resources for a different recipe.  So, today I will share my experience how I cooked  "KERALA CHICKEN CURRY" for the first time, just  for  information to my readers, Kerala is one of the state in India, and  why I named it "Kerala Chicken Curry" because as far as I experience and understand, this is how Keralites cooked this type of chicken curry.  So let me start. HERE ARE THE RECIPES with PICTURES 1. Onion, garlic, ginger, and tomatoes 2. Cumin powder, coriander powder, curry powder, turmeric powder, cinnamon powder, and chili powder. 3....

Back to Proper Work

Haisttt, I'm back to PROPER work.  Capital "PROPER" because we are finally back to our regular schedule.  It doesn't mean, I am not working  but since we got back from deployment for the past two months we do have irregular schedule and  almost everybody from my unit were on LEAVE and having a good time with their respective family.  We showed at work only at 1000H, do accountability and go home, until then we really don't do nothing but paid :).  Don't get me wrong, of course if we mess up while we are still within working duty hours,  though we are somewhere around any places, our happy moments will be over.  The time opportunity given to us must not be wasted, it is for ourselves and for our family, if the time was taken from us by our suprevisor, we will have the most painful time staring each other in the office doing nothing...that means killing time.  I know for sure this remaining five months at work is ...

How to ADD Favicon at my URL address

How to add logo next to my URL address?  This is my next learning. My target is within this week, I would be able to create a logo that  will identify  my own URL address.  I've searched YouTube  for my learning process, so far I got ideas from different videos I've watched.  Some, to attached Favicon next to your URL address, your site should be a hosted domain, but I found other information  that doesn't need  URL hosting so,  I will go for a  site that provide a free code  generator for this particular learning, hope this will be succesful. Been a long time before I was able to post new update on this blog, like about a months.  I finally find tutorial on Favicon in an easy way, thanks to SeoMarketing7.blogspot.com, appreciate your information.   Gonna have something to improve blog, so this one of it "create your own favicon". Here is my experience. 1. I browse,   http://www.iconj.com/  or...

Passenger, an open aircraft

Never in my imagination that I would be able to really experience being one of the passengers in an OPEN AIRCRAFT.  I thought, doors and windows of all aircraft normally should be close while up the air, but these aircrafts was different. It is intended to have an entrance and exit opening, it was called  Blackhawk and Chinook .  These pictures was taken in the aircraft, view of Iraq from above.

Dinosaurs World at Glen Rose, Texas

84 miles from Dallas to Dinosaur World and more than an hour of travel, though feeling tired especially my son, it paid off when we reached Dinosaurs World at Glen Rose, Texas.  By the way, to give my readers a highlight and those who wanted to go to Dinosaurs World.  Here is what you can see: Dinosaur World Store, where you can buy souveneirs as usual. Dinosaur Museum, I don't know whether some are real fossils or just a replica. Life size man made Dinosaurs placed in,  like a forest location. Fossils Dig for children. I took a pictures of some  Dinosaurs statue, here it is.  Kinda hot, so my son was actually irritated but still he enjoy seeing the life size Dinosaurs.

Our old apartment

Reminishing the past, I got married 2003, gave birth to my son 2004 and lived in Dallas, Texas for 3 years.  The first city I've been in love to stay where all my beautiful memories started.  Currently, we are no longer in Dallas, Texas but at least five times a year we tried to visit this place, the reasons: friends and attachment.  Hopefully by the end of this year, if God willing.  We will be back here for good.  I visited some states, but I couldn't compare the attachment I have in Dallas, Texas than other states.  Here is the place we stayed before.

Dallas Science Museum

I came to United States last 2004 and Dallas, Texas was my first home.  This is also the place where my son was born. But we never visited this museum before we left to stay in Killeen, Texas. In pictures are the experiences we have  inside the  Dallas Science Museum.  By the way, DSM is located at Fair Park near Downtown.  To find more information, just google "Dallas Science Museum".   I wanted to show the pictures by slideshow than giving details about it, that's way if anyone who wanted to go to this museum, you know what to expect by just looking at the pictures.

The Book: 40 years of the Sisters of Mary

December, 2008.  We all went for vacation to the Philippines and we stayed at the Sisters of Mary School for two weeks till we came back home.  Before that I bought some books from the school like "Killing Me Softly" by our very own Fr. Al, my batch 1992 year book, and lastly the 40 years of the Sisters of Mary in pictures.  I wanted to share my experience about the book, 40 years of the Sisters of Mary in pictures.  Each time I look at the pictures of the Sisters of Mary and  Fr. Al last day on earth,  I can't control my tears, even just imagining the works of Fr. Al to the poorest of the poor, and even just writing this blog.  I feel something inside of me longing to be with Fr. Al again just like before and  be with the sisters inside the school.  I am so grateful that each time I remember the Sisters of Mary,  I am looking at myself now and my journey of life, it's all because of Fr. Al. One day, my...

It's early vacation of my son

Last night on,  I am too busy preparing food for our trip, cleaning the house and packing.  I slept only around 0230H trying to finish everything so that by tomorrow everything is ready.  We plan to drive to Dallas around 0900H but until now while writing this blog, its already 1215H...to slow , but that's alright we wanted to make it sure everything we needed is packed.  Going to Dallas from Killeen is 157 miles approximately and more than 2 hours drive.  We already booked a 3 days hotel at Best Western in Dallas through phone hopefully this hotel will give us nice resting accomodation. My son and husband near the car.

I'm on a block leave

Yahoooo! Finally, I am on a block leave. As far as I counted my leave, I think I have more than 60 days so far.  So, I am taking  block leave and  vacation leave on August. This time, my plans are for my son enjoyment, we will go to at least 3 different places where he can enjoy seeing replica of Dinosaurs for his further learning.  Dallas Science Museum and  Dinosaur World in Rose Wood, we will probaly include also NASA in Houston. One year ago while visiting my friends in Dallas, my son was just 4 years old at that time, a couple of his friends learn to play Dinosaur Train in computer,  seeing that these kids were so interested of learning  Dinosaur I bought a books from Half Price store about Dinosaur and distributed it to them.  Now, I couldn't believe after just a year my son learns what are some of Dinosaur name and characteristics, he can even pronounced the difficult pronouncation of some Dinosaur name.  Books and...

Back to the Past

I was thinking what title to put on this next post, then I remember "Back to the Future movie", so I entitled this "back to the past". I just miss my days back to my native land where friends around are available to talk too. Where you can have adventure with, where you can drag them whenever they are ready and available.  I guess, life is not the same as we expect, once status change and living condition everything changes also.  If you are single, you called yourself adventurer with no string attach but once you are married, you will think your family first before yourself.  That's what I am now, what's different in me although I am in contact with my friends,  I called them a "ghost friends" because they are all behind computer, most of them are online. What's strange about this, though they are just online friends,  I treasured them as if I saw then in real.   Come to think of it, online or real....one way or another, we need one ano...

5th Birthday of My Son

This was actually his last year birthday celebration, he turned 5.  If you are always holding the camera or video cam, expect you don't have any picture or you are not in video at all.  Haaaayy! I just removed the slideshow, it is not working.

SMS at 25 Years

SMS at 25 Years, 1985 when the Sisters of Mary School became operational in the Philippines.  After 3 years I was accepted to study in this beautiful school.  I have so many great experiences that I will never forget and been a part of my life.  Father Al, the founder of the SMS is one of the main reason of everything I am now,  I am lucky that I saw him and been with him while he is still alive along with my batchmate.   He may be gone, but his teaching will always be in my heart, he shape my entire life forever.  God bless the SMS and the Alumni.  I may not be rich, but I pledge to support  in my little ways the school and the alumni.  So,  I would like to share this pictures created by one of the graduates of SMS.  Mr. Al. I created the slide show but the pictures doesn't belong to me, it was created for ASMSI.ORG.PH.

draft.blogger.com

By the way my title is a form of URL address, why?  That is the URL to find more templates on your blog created and shared by different bloggers.  As I wanted to enhance my blog, I want to have a different template but since I have less knowledge of creating  HTML, I can't make my own template.  So, I search both google and you tube to find out any tutorial for adding templates on the blog, and here it goes, just type: http://draft.blogger.com/ and be sure you have blogger.com account.

Picaza Web Album 3.0

I'm getting so serious about blogging since I open an account, but so many things to learn if you really wanted to have a well presented blog. Blogger features and google.com offers a lot of ways to make blogspot website competitive from one another. As of this moment, I'm thinking how I can put all my pictures into one show so that I don't need to attached pictures one at a time. Then, as my learning process is progressing, the easiest way to learn is to go to youtube where bloggers shared their thought and idea. So far, I tried to learn SLIDE SHOW, at first I visited slide.com, I used the software installed in my computer, then animoto, and lastly, picaza web album. Since,  I used only one accounts in google.com, why not use their picaza web album that way I don't have to keep on registering from different web providers, so at last I made it so far from picaza web album 3.0 If you guys are trying to put your pictures into one web album at the same time you are a BL...

Fort Hood Museum

If you are interested in military history or you want to know more about history of WW II sometimes you seek to find information from the written books of  famous historian, but what's amazing in here, history came to live not only through our imagination or information gathered from different history books or people involved  but also we try to look  around or visit  the Museum where real history was preserved. We went to one of the museum in Fort Hood  where you can see ground and aircraft vehicles outside, while inside are those preserved objects  during WWII, if not mistaken.  Below are the pictures I took and wanted to share to everybody. As far as I know, visitors are welcome to visit the museum.

OUR USED CAR

Yesterday, we finally decided to buy a car. Somehow my husband likes to buy a Mercury brand of car, particularly Grand Marquis. I honestly don't like this type of car because its outside appearance is old fashion style but my husband had similar brand and model that runs up to now though it was a 1990 Grand Marquis. The odomoter was reset three times and still running smoothly, though I insisted not to buy what he likes, I realizing that this car is more convenient and comfortable to him.  Also, this type of car will  last for many years with less maintenance.

I am a fan of Manny Pacquio

I am a Manny Pacquio Fan,   maybe you are too.  Each time there is a boxing fight of Manny Pacquio, his fan all over the world talks about his previous fight encounter, training, current physical status, and his opponent.  So I decided, here in my blog I will embed most of Manny Pacquo fight either from my own computer or You Tube, that way I will have one stop video of  all his fight in my blog.  You guys are also welcome to watch. I've seen this video from youtube with 2 million over viewed from daryn2004, so I decided to embed it.  Thanks for sharing this video.

Blogging. It takes time to LEARN

I thought blogging features is just easy to learn, I've been spending more time learning blogger features than spending time writing my blog, but anyhow I would soon learn some  information I needed to start my website contents.  It is a challenge but at the same time a learning process, as what I've said I'm always hunger for knowledge.

Mother's Day Special

Proud to be a Mom always but this special date on May 10, 2010 is one of my memorable date.  How can I not forget that date, my son was always reminding me about Mother's Day.  He said, "Is it May 10 already mom and I said not yet, because it is not even a month of May, since then I marked my calendar to this special event for all mothers in the world, in whatever ways a woman became a mother.  Along with that my husband threated me so special that I never had last mother's day.  We went to Austin to find the liking car he wants but failed to find one so we decided to stay one more day in Austin for mother's day celebration.  He booked a one day hotel at Country Inn Suite for us to stay and go around Round Rock and Austin area, we also went to one of the best mall in that area where in for the first time my husband surprises me with a Authentic Coach bag gift which I've been wanting to have.  Somehow I like the mall around Round Rock area, everything...

Hi, I'm Rose

I guess, I need to introduced myself first since I am new to this blog.  I am quite puzzled about what makes blogging one of the most shared thought ideas aside from this so called social networking, so, I decided to have one as well just for a try. My interest in joining this group of bloggers is practically about Adsense, though I still have to learn what Adsense will do on my blog.  But anyway to start with my introduction,  I am called  Rose as my nickname by most people who lately new me, otherwise some old friends called me with my real name. I am married with one son and currently now in the Land of Freedom, we called ourselves a family of "mix of cultures" because of our nationality. I am a working mother and a student as well trying to finish my master degree.  My interest depends on what I see in the environment, like boxing - I am a Manny Pacquio fan or You Tube singing sensation - Charice Pempengco.  Something th...
